      GutterLite & Superlite Poles

Our GutterLite modular poles are 100% high modulus carbon fibre, unlike many low cost imitation versions on the market which use a mixture of inferior materials. Each pole section comes with overlap markers and stop-indicator tape on each section. Our poles are the lightest on the market and made by world renowed Gardiner Pole Systems.

All poles feature an insulated handle section for maximum safety.

Each pole section is 6ft 1” (1.85m) and can be connected together to give a total pole height of 60ft (18.2m).

      GrippaVAC machines

Our range of GrippaVAC vacuums all come with 2400w motors which give a massive 2600mm of suction – proving that large motors doesn't equal suction, rather the correct management of airflow gives high suction whilst not requiring any specialist power sources.

      Power Options:

      • 230v which runs from a standard 13amp household plug.
      • 110amp 32v which would be run from generator.
      Features:
      • 51mm gulper side cyclonic entry – ensuring blockages are prevented . The cylonic entry causes the suction to travel into the vacuum at speeds of 190mph.
      • Easy empty mechanism using the handle release.
      • Fluid drainage outlet.
      • Blower outlet for defrosting gutters and blowing through any blockages in guttering.
      • Secondary filter to prevent motor damage.
      • Internal suction cutoff to prevent overfill.
      • Can be used as an all round utility vacuum for external and internal work.

      GutterLite Assembly

If you have ordered a complete pole kit, on commencing work, you will need to fit the relevant tools to the pole as follows:

If using the V1 Alloy tools:

      1. Take the relevant V1 alloy tool – such as the uframe gulper tool - and slide the 460mm carbon adaptor into the tool, until it locks into place. This will give the Uframe a male tapered carbon section.
      2. Connect the assemblied tool to the female end (the end with black trim) of the pole section. This is done by sliding the male carbon end of the tool into the female end of the pole.

If using the V2 lightweight tools:

      1. Take the relevant V2 tool – such as the gooseneck gulper tool - and slide the tapered side of the tool into the female end (the end with black trim) of the pole section. No adaptor is required!

A wide range of additional tools can then also be added to the gulper or 40 degree gooseneck tool, including brushes, scrapers, & extension tools. Simply push fit the relevant addon tool kits onto the end of the gooseneck. Before first use, it is advisable to check the adjustment on all of the poles – each section should grip its adjoining section firmly.

      GrippaVAC Assembly

Your vacuum comes ready for work apart from the three following simple tasks that need to be carried out on initial assembly:

      1. For shipping purposes, the handle needs to be assemblied to the vacuum as shown in the instructions provided in box.
      2. Unscrew the large plastic 51mm nut on the end of the cyclonic entry, along with the spring. Fit the 100mm long 51mm stainless steel tube into the entry, leaving at a lip of atleast 30mm. Place the spring and nut back into position and tighten.
      3. Place the metal float and secondary filter into the vacuum body, then clamp the motor head into place.
      4. Push fit your vacuum hose onto the side entry and the other end onto your pole hose (ensuring the vinyl pole sleeve is fitted), switch on and away you go!

      Cleaning & Service Schedule

It is important to clean, maintain and service your gutter cleaning system in line with the guide below in order to maintain the maximum working life of the pole vacuum and to preserve all of its features.

      Cleaning Schedule:

      1. Keep the pole as clean as possible at all times. Flushing each pole section through with water each time it becomes lined with dirt is crucial.
      2. Wipe and hose down the pole each time the male and female tapers are dirty prior to fitting together, especially if you have been working in gritty or sandy environments.
      3. Additionally, a spray of dry-film PTFE spray over the taper area will improve the life of the pole.
      4. Removing the motor head of the vacuum and taking care to store in a dry place, you should then clean out the vacuum body and both filters on a regular basis. Ensure the secondary filter is dry before switching the vacuum back on again.
      5. Flush your 51mm GrippaVAC hose out using a garden hose, which can be pushed through until you see it the other end. This ensures any buildup of dirt is fully flushed out.
      Servicing Schedule:

      1.  In addition to the above schedule we would recommend checking the the stop-indicator tape and the trims at the top and base of each section and replacing as required.
      2. Check your system regularly for wear and tear and replace the relevant parts.
      3. We recommend having your vacuum serviced every 12 months by a GrippaVAC engineer.

      FAQS

      • How do I check both motors are working on the vacuum?
        • Disconnect the head of the vacuum from the base, and switch the vacuum on – you can then place your hand over the grill on the underside of the vacuum head. If both motors  are operational, both sides of the grill will have suction.
      • I have lost suction. What's wrong?
        • A systematic check of the kit will help you find the source of the issue. Start from the vacuum, by disconnecting the 51mm GrippaVAC hose and placing your hand over the cyclonic entry – if this is in order, it will leave a suction mark on your hand. If not, check your drain outlet is sealed on the back of the vacuum. Ensure all hoses, pole sections, and tools are checked for any blockages.

      Warranty Information

All of our modular poles are covered for 12 months against any manufacturing defects. Should such a defect be found then the pole will need to be returned to base for workshop assessment and if found faulty the item will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of GrippaTank in connection with the decision of Gardiner Pole Systems Ltd. A returns number (RN) will need to be issued prior to return of the item. If goods are received without a returns number, no action will be taken and the goods will be kept in storage for three months before being disposed of. All goods must be adequately packaged. Carriage will be refunded if fault is deemed to fall within our guarantee. We can arrange collection of bulky items but this will be charged to you until reason for fault is established. We shall not be liable in any way for consequential damage or loss or injury. Any modifications or adaptations or fitting of non-approved accessories (goosenecks, non-approved brushes etc) render the above guarantee null and void. This warranty does not cover ‘wear & tear’, glued items or serviceable items such as joint-indicator tape or silicone sleeves. This warranty will only be valid if the pole has been regularly maintained in line with the instructions contained within this user guide. Poles that are used outside of normal operating parameters will not be covered. All consumable parts such as goosenecks, brushes, hoses, vacuum handles, wheels, connectors, and side entry fittings, and filters are warranty for 90 days.

Vacuum motors and body are warrantied for 2 years, subject to the above warranty stipulations.

    • Will the GutterLite's work with my existing system?

Yes. We have supplied many kits to companies and individuals who already have a vacuum kit. Obviously our poles have been designed to work to the maximum with our vacuums but we understand if you already have a vacuum that you may just simply want to buy the pole kits as an add-on.

    • What makes your vacuums different?

Instead of offering retro fit kits or heavy weigh aluminium poles, we offer incredibly light high modulus carbon fibre poles that enable you to work up to 60ft. Our vacuums are manufactured by Numatic International in accordance with our specification in order to provide the best suction without the need for bulky and unweldy machines.

    • Do you offer camera survey kits?

Yes we are official distributors of the GoPRO camera range. The GoPRO is a high quality wireless camera unit (11 mega pixels!) that records at the camera head and then transmits the video direct to an App on your phone or an IP address.

Please call 0800 098 8407 for more information.

    • What size generator should I use to power my vacuum?

You need to be sure that the generator you choose can cope with not only the power of your vacuum but also the natural power surge that occurs when starting up the vacuum and when lifting heavier debris. The general rule is the applicance power should be at least 1/3 of the power of the generator. It is recommended you use a 6kva generator.

    • How robust are the GutterLite's?

No the opposite is in fact true. They are manufactured from high modulus carbon fibre and are very strong. In fact you can stand on them without any adverse consequences! Not that we're encouraging you to do that as it is a suction tube not a ladder.

    • Why don't you use bigger motors?

It is not actually the size of the motors that is the most important factor for gutter or fine dust vacuuming, but rather the air management which creates the best suction. The means of getting the air from the vacuum to the top of the pole units without air leakage is hugely important, along with the diameter of the vacuum entry and hose - which should be 51mm.

The wattage of the twin motor GrippaVAC is 2400w, which is far lower than our competitors machines - but for a very valid reason.

Wattage doesn't equal suction, rather the management of the airflow corrects effective suction. So whoever you decide to purchase with, please first ask for the suction (h2o/mm or mbar measurement), as you can have a low wattage machine with a very high suction.

      Example
Our machine is 2400w with a 13amp plug (allowing you to plug into standard house mains without any fiddly transformers or risk of blowing fuses). The h20/mm measurement is 2600mm (i.e how strong the suction is, like the torque on a car). The h20/mm measurement of a competitors 4000w machine on the market is just 2400mm, thus has less suction than our machines!

All of our GrippaVAC systems have been designed to maximise airflow and suction using our high modulus tapered poles.

    • Can your vacuum suck up tiles?

Yes. There are though some tiles that are porous. In other words instead of the air hitting the surface of the tile and returning to the vacuum head, thus creating suction, the air runs through the tile. Always exercise caution when sucking and lifting tiles from guttering if you are unsure of the tile type. An example of a non porous tile is slate.

    • How will I know when my vacuum is full?

Our vacuums have a shut-off installed. This means that when your vacuum is full suction drops.

      The benefits of this are:

      • You do not continue to suck into the drum, potentially damaging the motors
      • There is a clear signal as to when to empty the vacuum
    • Fine Dust & Internal High Level Vacuuming

These are specifically designed for high level dusting in the roof spaces of airports, shopping centres, hospitals, printeries and factories.

Our high reach vacuum kits eliminate the need for expensive scaffolding and can be used from the safety of the ground. One of our clients at NEWSQUEST saved thousands by purchasing one of our kits instead of resorting to expensive cherry pickers and scaffold.

Did you know that many insurance companies now require that companies clean the high level areas of their premises at least once a year?

    • What height can the GutterLites go up to?

They can be used up to 55ft although it has to be said one of our clients has used them at over 72ft!

    • Is your gutter vacuum just a standard wet & dry vacuum?

No. It has been specifically designed to handle debris from gutters and soil. Unlike a standard wet & dry vacuum or a vacuum that has a side cyclonic entry and metal float, our high level vacuum equipment prevents debris getting into the motors, which can cause the unit to explode.

What this means in layman's terms is that a standard wet & dry vacuum has a front entry with an internal T-piece. If you were to vacuum gutters using a standard wet & dry vacuum, you would quickly find that it gets blocked up and becomes ineffective. Our vacuums use a side entry. This means that as the debris is sucked into the vacuum it runs round the inside of the drum (like a cyclone) and prevents clogging at the main entry point and inside the actual drum.

Key difference between our vacuum and a standard wet & dry vacuum:

      • Entry: Side Entry instead of front entry
      • Connection: 51mm Connection for our high reach pole kit
      • Float: Metal float assembly and ball valve to protect motor
